The Omani rial (ISO OMR code) is the official currency of the Sultanate of Oman. This currency has been issued by the Central Bank of Oman since 1977. An Omani rial is divided into 1,000 Baisas.

Currently, coins of 5, 10, 25 and 50 Baisas circulate in Oman.

 

As for the Omani rial and Baisa bank notes, you can find notes of 100 and 200 Baisas and ½, 1, 5, 10, 20 and 50 rial notes.

As for the colors, the 100 Baisa notes are green and those of 200, blue ones. On the other hand, the 1/2 and 1 rial notes are violet. The 5 rial notes are red, those of 10 brown or blue; those of 20 blue and those of 50 rials also violet.
